Tasman arborist for big trees, from Richmond to Motueka

Oliver has spent 16 years on big trees in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, and has managed over 10,000 trees for a city council. In Tasman District he comes out, looks the tree over and quotes the job. Then he and the team take it down or cut it back, chip it on site and leave the section clean.

Built on 16 years up big trees

Oliver started climbing at 15 in South London. After his diploma in arboriculture he worked on rail and residential trees across the UK, then spent about seven years on Australia’s big eucalypts, where crane-assisted removals were weekly work. In New Zealand he has managed over 10,000 trees for a city council.

A tall gum or pine beside a Tasman house gets the same planning: where each piece comes down, how it is lowered, and what stays protected underneath.

Tree removal

Gums and pines that have outgrown the section, big oaks, dead or leaning trees, and trees too close to the house: climbed, taken down from the top in sections and chipped on site.

What people say about Oliver and the team

Oli was very professional and safety conscious, very accommodating and friendly. More importantly he did a great job, no mucking around. Definitely would recommend

Urban Forest did a great job in our garden. We weren't sure what to do with our trees but Oliver explained things really well and helped us find a solution. He then did a great job and cleared everything up as if he had never been there. I will definitely have them back in the future.

Questions

Another question? Call 0800 001 224 or send it with your quote.

Do you come out to Motueka and Kaiteriteri?

Yes. Oliver and the team work right across Tasman District, from Richmond, Hope and Wakefield to Māpua, Motueka, Riwaka and Kaiteriteri. Pick your town on the map or in the form.

How does the quote work?

Oliver comes out, looks the tree over and quotes the job. Photos sent with the form, and the tree’s height against the house, help him plan the visit.

Can you take down a big tree close to the house?

Yes. Where there is no room to fell it, the tree is climbed and taken down in sections, each piece lowered on a rope clear of the roof. Big trees are what Oliver has spent 16 years on.
