Privacy Policy
Who runs this website
This website is operated by Web Gurus for Urban Forest Tree Care. Urban Forest Tree Care provides the tree removal, tree trimming, hedge trimming and stump grinding services and handles quotations, appointments and agreed work. Web Gurus maintains the website and its enquiry systems.
In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the operators of this website, and “you” means anyone using it.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect the details you give us, such as your name, phone number, email address, your town, the details of the tree work and any photos you send, so Urban Forest Tree Care can respond. If you attach photos, they are resized in your browser before they are sent, which removes embedded location data, and they are kept with your enquiry.
We use call tracking to understand which website an enquiry came from. Calls to the website’s phone numbers may be recorded, transcribed and analysed with automated tools to help manage enquiries, assess their relevance and support service administration and billing. If your call can’t be answered, it may be passed to an answering or messaging service, run by people or by an automated assistant, that talks or texts with you to find out what you need and passes the details to Urban Forest Tree Care. These conversations may be recorded and transcribed in the same way as other calls. Form enquiries are processed through the same enquiry management systems.
Services that help run this website
We use Cloudflare for website performance and security, including protecting the website and its forms from spam. Telephone and call tracking providers supply the website’s phone numbers, connect and record calls, and handle text messages. These services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details, the pages you visit and call information, and some of them process information outside New Zealand.
Cookies
This website uses a small number of cookies: call tracking cookies, so the right phone number is shown and calls can be matched to the website, and security cookies set by Cloudflare to protect the website and its forms from spam. If we advertise this website, for example on Google or Facebook, we may also use advertising and analytics cookies to measure visits and enquiries from those ads, and those advertising platforms may receive information about them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
If you arrive from an ad or a link with campaign details, your browser keeps a note of the ad click reference, those campaign details, the first page you visited and the website you came from for up to 90 days, and sends it with any enquiry you make, so we can see which ads bring enquiries and report them back to the advertising platform.
Who we share your information with
We send your enquiry to Urban Forest Tree Care so it can respond to you. Web Gurus, which maintains this website and its enquiry systems, and the providers that support the website, its phone numbers and messaging can also access your information, but only to provide and administer those services. Your details aren’t passed to any other business unless you ask us to.
Hearing from us
Now and then we may let you know about a related service or offer we think you’d find useful. It won’t be often, every message will include a simple way to opt out, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details, call recordings and attached photos are kept for as long as they’re needed for customer follow-up, service administration, billing, answering questions about an enquiry and, unless you’ve opted out, keeping in touch.
Who this website is for
This website and the services it describes are intended for people in New Zealand, and those services aren’t offered to people in other countries.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask for it to be corrected. To make a privacy request, use the enquiry form on this website and say it’s a privacy matter. If you’re not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
